Boston Calling
Boston Calling Music Festival is a three-day, multi-stage festival featuring the biggest and best acts in live music, comedy, and visual arts. It was held at Harvard’s Athletic Complex in Allston, MA on May 26, 27, & 28, 2017. The JBL #DaretoListen activation at Boston Calling provided attendees with an impactful and event-relevant branded experience that amplified both JBL and its products. Festivalgoers were given the opportunity to experience the brand through a series of activities and offerings, including our Dare to Dunk Challenge (where they tried to dunk waterproof products to win prizes), music-inspired Boomerang video booth, charging lounge, and headphone demo displays. Giveaways included custom laser-etched JBL Everest headphones, Boston Red Sox tickets, JBL portable speakers, and JBL X Boston Calling co-branded tote bags, fanny packs, and can koozies.

Boston Red Sox - Suite Experience
To promote JBL’s partnership with the Boston Red Sox, the JBL #DareToListen Experience made its way to Fenway Park in June, July, & August. Fans were given the opportunity to experience the brand through a series of touch points, including our Dare to Dunk Challenge (where they tried to dunk waterproof products to win prizes), photo booth featuring Wally the Green Monster, and product demo displays. Giveaways included custom laser-etched JBL Everest headphones, Red Sox tickets, JBL portable speakers, and JBL X Red Sox co-branded rally towels. Fans who visited our activation in June could also enter the Red Sox Ultimate Suite Experience giveaway, where one lucky winner won a trip for him and 19 of his friends to a game — all courtesy of JBL. Included in the prize package was transportation to and from the game in the JBL Bus and a Pavilion Level Private Suite for him and his friends.

JBL Fest
JBL FEST was a three-day, multi-event festival that immersed consumers and influencers in the brand’s 70 years of sound expertise. Held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV on July 27, 28, & 29, 2017, JBL teamed up with its top celebrity and athlete brand ambassadors for an entire weekend of original performances and special events. The JBL #DaretoListen Experience was prominently featured in the fest's "Backyard Oasis" on Saturday, July 29. Attendees had a chance to try their hand at our Dare to Dunk Challenge (where they tried to dunk waterproof products to win prizes), get their photo taken in our VIP photo booth, and demo products. Giveaways included custom laser-etched JBL Everest headphones, JBL portable speakers, and branded t-shirts, tote bags, fanny packs, and can koozies.

NBA Draft - Harman Store Activation
A number of NBA draftees visited the HARMAN Store on Madison Avenue in NYC on June 20, 2017 prior to the draft. While at the store, they were escorted outside to the JBL Bus, where they were given a tour and signed the back wall.

New York Yankee - Stadium Activation
To promote JBL’s partnership with the New York Yankees, the JBL #DareToListen Experience was at Yankee Stadium on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24. Fans were given the opportunity to experience the brand through a series of activities and offerings, including our Dare to Dunk Challenge (where they tried to dunk waterproof products to win prizes), photo booth featuring Mariano Rivera, DJ appearances, product demo displays, and mobile retail store — where fans could purchase products at discounted pricing. Giveaways included custom laser-etched JBL Everest headphones, Yankees tickets, JBL portable speakers, and JBL X Yankees co-branded t-shirts and tote bags.

Michigan International Speedway
To support JBL ambassador Christopher Bell, the JBL #DaretoListen Experience made a stop at the Michigan International Speedway on August 11, 12, & 13, 2017. 2017 marks Bell’s second full-time campaign driving the No. 4 JBL Toyota Tundra in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Race attendees were given the opportunity to experience the brand through a series of touch points, including our Dare to Dunk Challenge (where they tried to dunk waterproof products to win prizes), racing-inspired Boomerang video booth, DJ appearances, and product demo displays. Giveaways included custom laser-etched JBL Everest headphones, JBL portable speakers, and branded tote bags, fanny packs, and can koozies. Fans also had a chance to meet Bell on Saturday when he stopped by the #DaretoListen Experience with two other drivers to sign autographs and take photos with fans.

Hopscotch Music Festival
Hopscotch Music Festival is an annual three-day music festival in downtown Raleigh, NC. It is known for adventurous lineups, memorable performances, and a fan-friendly atmosphere. From large outdoor main stages in Raleigh City Plaza and Red Hat Amphitheater to intimate club shows, the festival features music in almost every genre imaginable. The JBL #DaretoListen Experience was in Raleigh for the festival on September 8, 9, & 10, 2017. Festivalgoers were given the opportunity to experience the JBL brand through a series of activities and offerings, including our Dare to Dunk Challenge (where they tried to dunk waterproof products to win prizes), music-inspired Boomerang video booth, charging lounge, and product demo displays. Riot Fest
Riot Fest is an annual multi-day music festival in Chicago, IL specializing in punk, rock, alternative, metal, and hip-hop. Carnival rides, food vendors, sideshow performers, and more add to the atmosphere of this independent music fest. This year the festival took place September 15, 16, & 17, 2017 in Douglas Park. The JBL #DaretoListen activation at Riot Fest gave festivalgoers the opportunity to experience the brand through a series of activities and offerings, including our Dare to Dunk Challenge (where they tried to dunk waterproof products to win prizes), music-inspired Boomerang video booth, charging lounge, and headphone demo displays. Bryan Patrick Todd
Bryan Patrick Todd kicked it off by turning the signature JBL Everest 700 headphones and JBL Charge 3 portable into sculptures.
Todd is a self-taught designer hailing from Louisville, Kentucky. With a focus on lettering and typography, Bryan creates everything from large murals to custom prints and fine art.
JBL is proud to have him as our first #DareToListen artist partner.
